    Hi desperately need help.

I have bought an acoustic solutions db1233 home cinema kit to link to my bush 40" rear projection tv.
I have used an optical cable to connect to my xbox(also used as a dvd player) and that sounds great.
However i cannot get any sound from my NTL digital box.
Please could someone tell me the correct set up between tv, ntl box and Speakers?
the ntl box has 2 scarts in the back, no other ports.

I tried using a cable that is scart : 2phono + svideo but this did not work. Do i need a cable that is just scart : 2phono? and should this connect from speaker unit to ntl or dorect to the tv?

    i'm very confused.

i managed to get sound from my analogue channels but not the digital set up

    Any help much appreciated

    Thanks

The problem with using a 2phono +svideo is you loose the RGB quality that your NTL box delivers, which is much better than svideo. simply use on of these

This will give you full use of the scart socket and lets you split the sound with a phono cable to the receiver. Obviously, this sound will be analog. The NTL box does not have a digital out, but Dolby Surround information is still available in the analog signal (if broadcasted).

    thanks for your response.

sorry for being thick but this will go in the back of the ntl box and i can simply connect the red/white phono cables to it from the aux on my theatre system(as it doesn't have a scart)

    thanks again

yes, this is basically goes inbetween your scart cable and your NTL box's scart connection. You then hook up the phono cable to the adapter and your receiver's analog inputs.

great, thanks...but in that case surely my scart : 2phono+svideo cable would work if i don't connect the svideo cable and just go scart to red/white phono?

    cheers
