Entertainment PC in conjunction with AV-Sales are pleased to announce an open day that will take place at AV-Sales' home cinema centre in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN4 0PA on Saturday 18th September
    2004.

The day will consist of demonstrations showing the features and benefits of the EPC home cinema PC and how it integrates into a typical home cinema setup in three demonstration rooms . Experts from both Entertainment PC and AV-Sales will be on hand all day to answer any questions that you may have.

    Screen Room 1:
This room will have an EPC showing high definition video in Microsoft HD WMV format. HD video is the next big thing for DVD and when you see it on the Pioneer 50" 504HDE high definition plasma display you will see why. You will also be able to see high-def clips on a 6' tab tensioned screen through a NEC HT1100 projector.

    Screen Room 2:
This room will have a Fidelity II EPC system so you can listen to its audiophile CD playback capabilities. The EPC system will go head to head with a T+A CD1230R CD player both connected to a T + A V10 valve amp and Acoustic Energy AE1 MK III speakers / Anthony Gallo reference 3. You will be able to listen for yourself if a PC based system can equal the quality of a match up with a Audiophile CD player.

    Screen room 3:
This room will show how the EPC system works. We will demonstrate the custom front end interface, digital TV and DVD playback, CD and DVD jukebox functionality and how the system integrates into your home cinema setup. The partnering equipment in this room is a 37" Viera Panasonic Plasma Screen so you can evaluate high definition on a standard definition panel. Other equipment being used includes the Yamaha 750 home cinema receiver, Kef KHT 5005 5.1 and Proficient ceiling surround sound speaker package.

The day is by invitation only so if you wish to attend please register your interest on this thread. The day will now be just one session:

    Session 1:10am - 1:30pm

Please indicate which session that you wish to attend. Food and drink will also be provided to help with your thought process!!.

We hope to see plenty of you for what is sure to be an interesting and informative day where we will show you what an EPC Home cinema PC based system is capable of.

Just to let everyone know the open day has now turned into an open morning as everyone who wanted to come wanted to attend the morning session. So if you are thinking of coming and have not replied to this thread we will not be around in the afternoon.

    Thanks

Just like to say a big thank you for everybody who came on Saturday. I think everyone came away with a lot of questions answered about HCPC and what they are truly capable of.

I would also like to thank AV-Sales for putting on the event which ran very smoothly.

And for those of you who could not make it we will be doing another EPC event in the very near future. Once we have got a date pinned down we will post more information here.
