Well I am not too sure this is the right place to put this question, but here it goes

I have been asked by a friend to find a Home Cinema kit for his new house. The room it will be used is about 25 by 25 foot, quite large, the price he intend to spend is £ 5.000 and not a penny more if possible
The kit must consist of a projector and screen plus amplifire (6.1 at least) and speakers and subwoofer to fill the room with sound.

Hope some of you can come up with some suggestions
    I thank you in advance

    Gerry

You are asking rather a lot as it would be a fairly lengthy job for anyone to research the possibilities of DVD player, amplifier, speakers, projector and screen when all we are told is that the budget is £5,000

May I suggest that you research the various options yourself then post your ideas and ask for opinions on what you have shortlisted. The hardware reviews from Home Cinema Choice are a useful resource.

    Just a suggestion...

    Kef Q7 AV package £2,200
    Arcam AVR300 Amp £1,300
    Panasonic PT-AE100E Projector£1,500

Of course your friend may want to spend less on speakers and upgrade to a DLP projector, but this setup would be my ideal for £5,000

If he buys the lot at the same place, he should be able to get all the cables and a reasonable screen thrown in.

You didnt mention a DVD player in your query, so Im assuming he already has one?
