    :) My configuration is:

AVR Sony STR DE 597 (no digital output, only MD)
    DVD Pionner
    CD Cambridge Audio 640C
    Wharfedale 9.1 (front)
    Sony SS-MF 450H (rear)

    Question:
I'm a stereo 2 channel music fan not having decent hifi amp. so now
I'm about to buy Cambridge 640A

What is the best way to connect my AVR and Hifi Amp to one set of speakers.
Is there any switch (between avr and hifi amp)

    or

Could i connect front avr to cambridge using MD output? and if yes so how should i do that (is there 5 ch. digital sound downmixed to 2 channel, because i still want to have front and back different). What about center speaker (i'm not using centre sp. and sound is mixed to front)?

    Maybe you've got other ideas.

Unfortunately i'm not able to buy Denon 2805 or some Arcam

    Thanx, Pete
