home cinema, advice if possible please..

...any opinons of those more knowledgable than myself would be greatly appreciated. Just going about setting up my home cinema

Regarding the best amp to buy: I've been given a great opportunity to buy some ProAc response hexa speakers at a very, very good price.

I've also recently bought a Pioneer PDP-507XD from a friend and he's offered me his Pioneer VSX-AX4AVI amp with it. Am I going to get the best out of my ProAc speakers with this? Or should I be looking at something better?
