Hello chaps, I thought I'll share this with you.
Ever since I got my Schiit Yggy ($2,300) DAC i was blown away and stopped looking at Dacs. Their multibit technology (based on medical/military spec DAC chips) blows away every dac I've heard before. But it was expensive, £2,000 for a dac is no small change.
If SCHIIT was a normal HiFi brand the Yggy would be followed by fancier, more expensive versions, but not in this case - about a year after introducing the Yggy they launch a version that's nearly 1/10 the price with the same technology (if not quite the specs and the upgradability).
