New 50" Fujitsu or 50" PW6 panasonic.Ypu will be needing a decent sound sytem for that and ideallly a top DVD player, Silver Prog scan PS2.
I would allow £1000 for ancillaries and only spend £4000 on the screen

    Hi

Thanks ... I was thinking about the whole Sky+ package ... seemed simple -but very mixed responces on here.

Also what is the score with picture quality and Sky ? Do I need to get one of those ? RGB > Plasma VGA ? Will it clean up the picture image. I have seen in currys etc some pictures are really rubbish where others are very clean - I had always assumed this to be a plasma isssue and not cabling ...

Well my money went on the panny 6 series 50" :smashin:

My advice would be to go and see both the Pio 504HDE and the Panny Series 6 50" and if possible the Fujitsu and then get the one you like the most.

    Cheers, Lee

    ... Southampton ... a little way from cardiff ;-)

I agree it would makes sense to have a look - all these bad threads on PQ for Sky - worries me a little. I use Plasams in business with computers - so would have thought TV images were simple compared to PC!

You really need to check out plasmas with Sky on, especially if you watch mainly tv.Miller Bros. have their plasmas showing with freeview if that helps. Just got rid of cheaper plasma myself & looking to get a better quality one. Doing my homework this time....once bitten.....

There will probably be an Audio T or Audio X near you, we actually have a few customers in Southampton.
You have to get demos of at least 3-4 screens, Bristol hi Fi show will have loads and is on in FEB if you can wait.
Other than that get demoing, Try plasmas with DVD Sky etc most specialists will have a Screen hooked upto a Sky or Sky+ box or will for a booked demo.
