Film & TV | HMV Store
Looks like we now have a rival for Tesco/Amazon for Pre Orders!
I got their email today, it's nice to know that they're back online.
Jurassic World 3d Steelbook
Are they different to xtra-vision.co.uk? I thought they were HMV, or at least their site says HMV Ireland. I'm confused!
I imagine it's the same stockpool, but HMV part own Xtra vision in Ireland, but operate as HMV here.
Guess who Amazon are matching now for price! Thank you HMV
Other way round IIRC.
Is there definitely a connection between that business and the new HMV site? I searched before posting this topic and couldn't find any mention of xtra-vision, so given the poor reputation of the other sites hoped this to be an indication it's run separately. I haven't used the new site yet or seen any complaints from its customers.
Xtra-Vision and HMV Ireland are part of Hilco Capital Ireland AFAIK.
HMV UK's site is absolutely horrible. Worst retail site I've seen in 10 years (yes, even worse that Rakuten's group of sites). It's embarassing in fact and a new low for the brand.
One good thing though is Amazon can spider it raping the data and price matching.
I don't know why Hilco are throwing away money on pish like xtra-vision.co.uk either.
Answers on a postcard.
Utter rubbish 'deals' in store ... popped in the one at Watford's Harlequin shopping centre last week. How on earth is it still in business?
Totally agree -I was in their Livingston store and they refused to sell me a bee -even though they had one in the window.
Well Amazon are not 'spider it raping the data and price matching' much from what I can see. Loads of good deals in the 5 for £30 blu-ray section on HMV and I checked against some of the ones I wanted on Amazon and Amazon were way pricier - and that's not bringing the £20 minimum order into the equation.
The only reason I haven't bought from HMV online again as yet is that Ive got too much to watch right now.
The past few months I've bought a few boxsets such as The Bourne Trilogy, BTTF and Alien Anthology and Matrix trilogy all of which were miles cheaper than could be found online. I've picked off almost everything I want from their 5 for £30. So I'm moving onto their two for £25 on Studio Ghibli titles.
I just placed my first order yesterday on the new HMV website. I've ordered DreamWorks Home. Any ideas on how long they take to dispatch? My order currently says payment successful. Thanks
Next working day, in my experience. In some cases the item's arrive before the dispatch email.
