Hi

Just a quick question.

I was planning on buying the PS3 bundle from HMV that includes two bluray movies for £299.99 which is avaliable online. I was just wondering if they have this same offer in store as well to buy on the day or if you have to take it on the internet?

Cheers all.

I spoke to a manager in-store about why their in-store Blu-Ray offers were different to their online offering. He said that they are totally different companies, and that offers were often different. So I wouldn't bank on them offering it in store.

One of the membere on the lawns' "best deals" thread yest went into HMV in Coventry and got 40gb model, 2 games, 1 blu ray and a HDMI lead for 310. I'm off to the Glasgow store later on today to see if I can get the same.

A couple of people have got it instore but they have negotiated at bit the staff / manager. I'm going to try and get it today. I don't think they advertise it specifically.

Weird, I just bought a PS3 from HMV using this offer on Wednesday!

In-store, they've got 4 different offers, 2 game ones and 2 Blu Ray ones IIRC.

I paid £299 for PS3 + 2 Blurays (Black Hawk Down and Casino Royale) from a choice of 4. One of the other movies was Fantastic Four, can't remember what the other one was.

Also picked up Ratchet and Clank, absolutely cracking game :smashin:

Will post some more impressions later....

Really helpful mate, thank you. Sounds like HMV are the best bundles online and in-store as well then. Cool.

Anyway, will pop to my local HMV later and see.

My local HMV said that I could pick any games/blu rays I wanted from that deal with the HDMi cable - I'm guessing this is down to store discretion though.

The deal totalled £315 - I would have gone for this if I didn't have vouchers to spend @ Gamestation.

Just bought mine at Gamestation. Found they had the offer in store as well, PS3, 1 year guarantee, 2 blu-ray films (Die Hard 4.0 and SM3) for £299.99

I managed to get them to exchange DH4 for Pirates World End though.

I bought mine last sat at hmv northampton for £299, with BR films. They let my change the films, because the didnt have the 4 suggested ones in stock!

Which was great, cause I didnt want any of them any way

They were doing 40gb and hdmi for 310 with free game and film saving £75 (quoted £50 for fifa 08 and £25 for 007). I wangled with the mgr a bit and changed it to 40gb and £85 worth of stuff to go with it for £310. used £35 on spare controller and £50 on orange box. all in all got 40gb, controller and orange box for £310. not too shabby. They were doing a 3-4-2 on the BR's too but the prices were high (25 each) so I left it (can get 3-4-2 films on line at 17 each).

Glad I didn't leave it until this eve as planned - they only had a couple left. Been posting on the lawns best deal thread.
