    <resolution><AA level><Ansio level><Relfection level><model detail><etc><etc><etc>

^ fill in the above - as they all make a hell of a difference

with all on highest settings 1600x1200 I get around 75fps on an x800 (XT flashed ) A64 3500+

Agreed. Your Graphics card driver settings make a huge difference. The higher the settings, the poorer the performance, but the nicer the graphics.
    Resolution also counts.

    I got a P4 2.8, OC to 3.2ghz.

    2ghz RAM PC3200,

BFG 6800GT OC (stock 370mhz) my OC: 400mhz, memory 110mhz.

All driver settings full , all game settings full. resolution at 1280X1024.

    FPS= 60/65

wack it on 1600x1200 -run the test and tell me what .... I reckon everyone should run it at top res ( so we can be incredibly nasty and laugh at the 2fps on some boxes ;) )

1600x1200 max everything with vsync off gives me 83 fps :D

    A64 3500+, 1024 mb xms3200 c2 pro, 6800GT @400/1100 using 67.02 beta drivers.

Averaging about 70 fps in half life 2 though as there's obviously some slow down for AI and bigger environments. Looks absolutely fantastic :smashin:

You can run the Counter Strike stress test.

Ive just changed all my settings.

    <resolution> 1600x1200
    <AA level> x6
    <Ansio level>Highest
    <Relfection level>Highest
    <model detail>Highest

    Get ready for it....................................................................9.09fps!

The one thing I can't seem to change is the colour settings, 16bit to 32bit?
So I changed it before I started CS.

I dont think I'd ever play a game at a res of 1600 anyway, as everthing looks too small.

In game you need to activate the console in the keyboard menu (under advanced). You get to the console by pressing the ` key (left of number one and above tab) and type cl_showfps 1 to get your fps:)

Alternatively use the stress test on counter strike source to get an idea how well the game will run on various resolutions.

    Dell Dimension 8300, P4 3Ghz, 1Gb RAM, 120gb SATA disk GeForce ti4800

I run the game @ these settings

1280x1024 - its an LCD Flat Planel.

    Everything high, water=reflect all, sync=disable, Filter=trilinear, AA=none : stress test is 33.66FPS

In game when I turn on Filter to say 4 or 8 x the game slows down but more noticable is the sound - very patchy ..
    Stress test with AF @ 8x - 23FPS

I know I know I need a new GFX card to really do it justice :)
