Anyone have one of these players with the PAL prog scan enabled?

Just want to know what it's like. Any problem discs that won't play? RCE ok? Any niggles?

    Thanks.

I've got the DVD25 with the PAL prog scan update.

It works but be aware some PAL DVDs look better than others in PAL prog SCAN. When I first got it I put Attack of the clones on and it looked terrible! To overcome this you have to mess around with the 3 video modes in the EZmenu that allows you to 'tweak' out any problems with most PAL discs.

Even with this I find myself changing back to PAL interlace for certain discs. Also when you first switch from interlaced to progressive the picture seems very bright but you can adjust this from the EZmenu.

Overall I found the best results in NTSC discs that are geniune prog scan.

It is often the case that the progressive scan flags are badly done for PAL discs, players with good deinterlacer chips like Faroudja can sync them (flags) quickly on again and produce better picture.
