Please help me to choose between those two models.

Their prices are almost the same here.
I would use it for CD and DVD playback, no DVDA and SACD yet.

I saw there is a regionfree firmware for DVD25, this and its quality audio CD DAC is a good point for me.
The 656A may be a bit more future proof in terms of DVDA and SACD, but I do not know any DVDA os SACD discs yet which is a "must to have", and I have not seen any easy regionfree mod for the Pio yet.

    My system:
    Sony KV29FQ76, Yamaha RXV-596, B&W 602S2 front, B&W601S2 rear.
Now I am play DVDs via PC with a Sigmadesigns Hollywood plus decoder card.

    thx

I bought my Pioneer 656A with the region free mod already fitted from SevenOaks. Seems to work fine.

Oh, and once you have tried DVD-A and SACD you *will* go out and buy stuff you have never tried before just because you have to ;)

    Cheers
