Hitachi tops up plasma panel investment plan

    It looks like those who have forecast the premature demise of plasma may be wrong. Hitachi are making a major investment in new plasma panel production plant as reported by Reuters:

    At the risk of upsetting LCD enthusiasts, I haven't yet seen a large (32" +) LCD tv with a picture that I could live with. It's just a personal opinion and of course, I haven't seen all lcd tv's but I think that LCD will struggle to hold it's ground in the larger sizes against plasma and new technologies such as OLED in terms of PQ. :)

    Panasonic too are due too complete a new PDP plant on Osaka Bay later this year all the reports are in the "if you have a Tiny plasma please read this" thread of all places!
