Has anyone had problems with Hitachi support? I seem to be the unlucky one because I cannot get my projector picked up for repair! 2 weeks ago I phoned up Hitachi because I have several dust blobs. They agreed to take it in for repair. They then arranged for the pj to be picked up at my work place. Since I am not at home I have to bring it in to the office and tell them to pick it up from here. It has been 2 weeks now and my pj is still sitting in my office waiting to be collected. I was told it would be picked up the next day but that never happened. I then phoned up to have it rescheduled for the following day...that never happened either. Hitachi place an order with City-Link to pick up the pj but City-Link dont do it! I later found out that the courier man has been here at least twice. The first time the courier man said that the item was unavailable for pickup [thats the report he gave to Hitachi] and the second time he came he refused to pick it up! He went to main reception as instructed to do....who then phone me. I was in my office in another part of the campus and he refused to come to pick it up. He said that I must take the pj to him! I was not here at the time so it was not taken to the reception since my collegues answered the call. So, I called again today [this must be about the 8th time i have phoned Hitachi or more] to have it sorted. It was supposed to be picked up yesterday, and the day before...but he never turned up. I get the impression now that the courier man is just ignoring the request to pick it up! Im sure Hitachi support is fine - but they could do better at dealing with city-link. Hopefully today it will get picked up.
