I bought this set from Comet last January, and it worked for one day, would not come back on after turning off, so I returned it and bought the same set from Richer Sounds, this set also would not go back on after turning off, and was replaced by Richer sounds the next day, now I was trying to leave it on standby all the time, but having been away for a weekend, my husband turned it off, .... now it wont go back on , no sign of life, and its too late to have it replaced!!!!!! has anyone else had this problem???
Any clues as to whether there's anything i can do appart from leaving it on all the time?
It seems A bit too dangerous that a set costing over £700 will be so fragile that it dies after turing it off, even by accident.... Help!!!:lease:

when did you get the tv from richer sounds?,this year(2008),or last year(2007).
if its still in warranty,i would get it looked at by them, and even if it is out of the 12 months warranty, i would press them to fix it for free, citing the sale of goods act,and in all honesty,i would imagine a £700 tv should last longer than it has..

some reading for you:
Sale of Goods Act Quick Facts - BERR

specifically this part:
For up to six years after purchase (five years from discovery in Scotland) purchasers can demand damages (which a court would equate to the cost of a repair or replacement).
