I stumbled across the 28" version of this model in John Lewis recently and was quite impressed, dolby dig, flat screen, sexy silver, good 50hz picture . After some pricing research I've found it's 32" big brother for around £800, which seems a mighty good bargain.

Has anyone any experience of this telly or know of any reviews?

    Cheers, Phil

I am also very interested in purchasing this model after reading the spec on the Hitachi web site. It does seem like a good value for money set. I can only assume that the lack of reviews are due to it being a newish model.

Please could you tell me in which branch of John Lewis you saw the 28" version? I have yet to see the set in any shops and would like to check it out.

    Thanks
    Patrick

Patrick, try London Oxford Str Branch.

Marts, I have considered this set, do you know where I can get it for around £900? Apart from the sound what do you have to say about the picture? I have a separates system already so essentially I'm interested in the best picture my budget can afford, rather conveniently it's £900.
