I have seen this tv in the jan sales at £400, does anybody out there have one? Is it any good? I have read the thread regarding bad soldering - is this a big problem - A friend of mine has a old Hitachi Tv and it's been really reliable.

I have been looking at £400 ish widescreen tv's, I was going to get the Phillips 6006 but apparently the rgb for ps2 is rubbish - which is something I would use it for.

The JVC AV28CT1 looks nice and small but my parents have a 4:3 version and the teletext is very poor, and the picture is not exactly that impressive.

I have no need for good sound (I have a amp etc.. - just a good picture. I am not bothered about 100hz or flatscreen. But 2 scart RGB would be nice.

Any info on the hitachi C28WF540N would be much appreciated + any info on other good value 28 inch sets.

    Cheers

    G
