    Hi All,

I have just taken delivery of my 7200 and I am going to wall mount it.

One thing I am not sure of though is how to disconnect the unit from the swivel stand?

There were two bolts on the back which seemed to connect the monitor to the stand. I removed those and tried to lift the unit but it was still connected.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.

    Regards,

    Rhino.

I was going to say look in the manual, but it doesn't mention it.
Which makes me think it should be straightforward.
I would guess there is a spline or slot type of setup.
Have you tried actually pulling the monitor off the stand? ie hold the stand whilst lifting the screen.

    Hi Badger, thanks for responding.

Yes I have tried holding down the stand while lifting the monitor vertically. It didn't budge. That's why I am assuming there is something I am missing but I don't know what!

    Hello,

I own a 7200 and have it wallmounted. The swivel is attached to the screen with 4 bolts/screws (2 on each side of the swivel). Two are on the lower side of the screen (thumbscrews) and the other two have to be removed with an screwdriver. If the four bolts / screws are removed you can lift the screen of the swivel.

You can't go wrong with it actually. It's strange that there's nothing in the manual of removing the swivel...

If things ain't clear just ask

    Jeffrey

Thanks for all your help guys.

I didn't see the additional bolts because I had attached part of the wallbracket to the back of the monitor which obscured them.

It's now on the wall and it looks lovely :) :) :)

    Nice one :smashin:

Give us your opinions on the screen mate (good or bad), when you got it sorted.

I was playing about with it last night and the PQ is superb. I was watching The Incredibles on my DMR-EH50 (via component set to progressive) and I was blown away with how much detail I can now see compared to my old Sony 36FS70.

I also set my xbox to 1080i and XBMC and was amazed at how good it looked :D

I chose the 7200 over the Panny PV500 due to a) stock issue and b) better connectivity and I am well happy with my decision.

I have just bought a 7200 and a universal wall mount.

Could you tell me where on the back of the TV I should be putting the brackets. I can see all sorts of screws but I wasn't sure which ones I should be using.

    Many thanks

    Stu

    Hi RhinoBanga

No, I haven't sorted this out yet.

Some pictures would be very helpful.

    Thanks

    Try these:

They should give you an idea where to put the right hand side bracket (when facing the front of the screen).

Sorry they can't be better but it's pretty hard getting to the back of the unit.

    Thanks for the pictures.

I think I know which ones to use.

Looking at my TV, am I right that there are 4 screws in a square and that none of them have arrows pointing at them. I can also see another set of 4 screws in a square but one of those does have an arrow so I presume that it is not that set.

    Thanks

    Stu

    Hi Stu,

Sorry I can't really see as I have my TV high above my fireplace and it's difficult to see anything.
