hitachi 7200 help please nooby arlert

Hi all
i have the hitachi 7200
im running it in at the moment not many hours so far ive set it up according to differnt threads on here ,contrast,modes ,etc,

how do i find out how many hours ive used the set
is it in the service menu if so how do i get into it also how many hours should i run it in for before putting my video essentials disc on it....

You can run DVE whenever you like, 'proper' settings will not damage your screen. All the screaming and shouting about run in is because they are all delivered maxed out on all settings. DVE will leave you in the middle or below on all settings unless you have a problem. Go for it.
