I have just sent my Hitachi back for a refund due to buzzing issue. It took me 8 months to sort it out with it going back and forwards for repair.

Hitachi cannot guarantee that they can stop the buzzing, many people do not notice it, others do and some get refunds others don't.

If the buzzing is unacceptable when you unpack it send it back straight away, do not expect it to be repaired.

Hitachi will always fall back on their current statement that the buzzing is at an acceptable tolerance. The buzzing comes from the transformer at the back.

    This makes me SO ANGRY

any transformer that buzzes in AV equipment is faulty
It is not acceptable in a TV studio or at home.
They can only get away with this in a display model (shops/ railway stations etc)
where no-one has to listen to it and certainly not on one with a tuner.
