Hi folks. THese forums seem seem to be full of a lot of very knowledeable people and I wonder if any of you can point me in the right direction. I am taking delivery of a 42PMA400E next week and was wondering what the best way will be of hooking it all together. Not wanting to be lazy, I have had a good look around the forums myself but now I am just plain confused. I would like to get some good quality cables so would rather get it right first time. My current setup is as follows: Sky+ box connected to tv AV1 socket via scart lead. My Sony SLV SE700 video is connected to the Sky+ box again by scart cable. I have an Xbox connected via scart to the video. I then have a PS2 (which I shamefully use as my dvd player) connected to the AV2 socket on the TV via scart. The audio out from the Sky+ box is routed to an Acoustic Solutions surround system. The optical out from the PS2 is fed to the optical in on the Acoustic Solutions box. I obviously want to get the best possible picture from all sources tho my main priority is the Sky box. I have read about the JS converter box. Do I really need one of these for optimum picture quality. I have seen so many plasmas on display with wildly differing picture quality so I realise how important it is to get it set up just right. Any help or advice much appreciated.
