After a month or so of messing around with my PD7200 I'm now in that "the picture looks perfect" state and very very happy !!

Only issue is than in Panoramic picture mode, channels like Sky Sports News have information missing top and bottom !!

I've had this with my last 2 widescreen sets and could access the service menu to adjust seetings like HIT, WID, VLIN etc to manipulate the scan settings etc and "squeeze" the picture to how I wnated it.

Is ther such a 'mode' on the 7200 ???

The access to the service menu is the same as for the PD5200. Just search this forum. You will find a complete service manual for the 5000 series.

The problem is, I tried it already, that the values doesn' t match with the 7200 ones.

So I' m still looking for the right values, because the menu isn' t user friendly. You have to know, what the value is for.

It is not enough to know how to access to the service menu.

Be very careful ! One guy who messed around with the Service Menu on his 5200 ended up locking out the remote, and then he had to resort to the RS-232 connection to get it back
