hello-my first post but been lurking here for a while-good site.

i have around 2000-2500 pound to spend on a 42"plasma screen.narrowed it down to these 2 screens but not sure what to get.i know panasonic isnt out yet but im willing to wait if its worth it.i had hitachi 42pma400e before and was a quite good screen so i know hitachi not bad.what i will be needing is a good hdtv screen to last a good 5 years or more so hdtv is a must.sky,xbox2 will be my main uses b ut must be 720p50hz compatable.i know the hitachi has great conectivity with dvi hdmi and component-dont know about the panasonic.my main concern is the colour banding i experianced on my old hitachi-especialy on xbox, have plasmas advanced in this respect in the mean time?
