I bought a new 42" Hitachi (42PD7200) at the weekend whilst Im very happy with it, Im confused with the settings & the threads for it on this forum.
I previously had a Sony KE32TS2 but have moved & wanted something bigger.
Now, while Ive read many threads on this forum saying what settings people are running, can someone give me a definite spec what is the best settings for "running in" the plasma & how long these should be set. (with the following connected).
Currently i have the following connected;
AV1 -nothing,
AV2 - Sky+ through RGB scart,
AV3 - Xbox RGB scart (no 360 yet),
AV4 - Harman Kardon DVD25 player, outputting progressive scan NTSC & PAL through component (480p, 576p)
Also can someone tell me what is the best picture size setting when watching dvds through my component connection, at the moment it's set to "full" & it displays black bars of different sizes at the top & bottom of the screen for most dvd playback but what is the correct setting for an Anamorphic playback etc?? Thanks .
BTW can anyone also tell me whether my old Sony Plasma KE32TS2 is able to recive SKYHD (i read somewhere that the 42TS2 model could??)
