If anyone out there is considering using the AV3 Scart connection and Component input connections on their 7200, the following are a few words of warning...
I've just changed my DVD connection from AV3 RGB Scart to Component using a Pure A/V Component lead. This freed up AV3 for my new Humax 8000T DVR. However, because the phono plugs are so huge and rigid on the component lead, and the Ixos Scart lead I have is of the 'angled' variety, it has been very difficult to fit the Scart, as the lead of the Scart feeds out into the same area as the phono plugs causing a major interference. I have managed to get the Scart to fit (almost), but it's not an ideal situation, the Scart isn't completely home at one end. The good news is that this doesn't seem to affect the PQ.
The moral of the story is if you think you are going to use up the RGB Scarts (AV2 and AV3) then buy the flat-ribbon-straight-out type connector, it could save you hassle and money in the long run!
