    Ok, I'm starting to panic.
Just bought a 42PD5200, brought it home, plugged it in and switched on. Fine, the green light comes on and the screen goes that "grey" colour, as if waiting for an input.
Next item in the manual: Press the menu button. Did that, but nothing happens. Ok. Power down, run scart from digibox to plasma, power-up and try and get a picture.....nothing......just grey.
Removed scart, connected co-ax from digibox to plasma. Nothing.
I tried using the buttons under the screen to open menus or select inputs but the screen stays grey. Will switch on and off with remote, so nothing wrong with the remote either.
Am I missing something here? I called the store who were flummuxed as to what was going on, a green light should mean it's working.
    So,
    a) should the menus come up (even without any input connected)
    b) has anyone else experienced this?

    Please help me! :lease:

    Miles.

    faulty plasma.
Got a replacement panel. Works like a dream  . Spent the day mounting it on the wall and repositioning the surround sound. Am just amazed at the picture quality from Telewest (scart-scart connection) Much better than I thought it would be.
Ah, now my life is complete!
