I have just purchased a 42pd5200 and would like to know what picture settings I should change. I had a look last night and changed the contrast from the default +31 to -15 and the picture has improved many times over. I'm sure that I should be changing other setting also but don't know which. Any ideas please?

If you've only just got it, it's better to keep the contrast and brightness settings a little lower than normal, until it has settled in. Then after a couple of weeks give it a tweak. There's not a lot of point in giving you settings, because a lot depends on what you are feeding the TV with (Sky+, DVD, Freeview box, etc), and what connectors you are using to do it. After letting my TV settle in, I found that the mid-range settings (the 50% marker) were more or less spot on.

I'm connecting a Sky box via the RGB scart cable to the screens RGB scart.
