Hi

Some advice required please for Plasma model Hitachi 42PD3000.

I Bought the above Plasma around three weeks ago, and am running Sky Digital through the AV2 connection with a QED Scart connection.

The screen is great and i am very pleased with picture quality Etc.

But i am having one or two slight problems first is a lip sync problem with Sky especially on Channel 4.

And the second and most annoying is an automatic change in brightness, this happens mostly in slightly darker shots on progs like Eastenders when the shot pans from one shot to another the brightness will go slightly lighter then darker. This is only a very subtle change but is distracting.

Can any of you experts tell me how to alleviate this problem through the set-up, or is it a problem on all screen's.

Many Thanks Ian

Can't help with your lip-sync issue, but if you change the picture settings in "Favourite" mode and turn Cinema mode off the brightness flickering should stop... HTH.

Ian,

You've got exactly the same connections as me and I don't have a problem (at least not that I can see) with lip sync on Channel 4.

I've had the 42PD3000 for a few months now and have only noticed lip sync problems twice and both of those were with Sky+ recordings of Coronation Street.

The flickering problem may be down to the black stretch being on. If the cinema mode adjustment doesn't work try turning the black stretch off.

Hi guys

Thanks for replying:-

Johndon - The Lip Sync problem is strange beacause it only happens on rare occasions and only on C4.

TP2K & Elvis - Thanks i will try altering the settings as stated, is this a problem you have encountered.

Thanks Ian

I have noticed some flickering in scenes and found that setting black stretch to 'off' got rid of it.
