s the step up to the 7200/7500 worth the cash from the 5200h or 6600?

Background: I have an out of the box Panasonic ht870 home cinema system and NTL digital as the main inputs into the screen, plus occasionally my Xbox.

    Thanks in advance

    :lesson: :lease:

    Yes, definitely.

I would go straight for the 42PD7200, boating unparalleled value
for money and Picture Master processing technology. IMHO there's
no match re: colours with the Hitachi's 7200 series, both LCD and
    Plasma.

Colours are so natural. I had been to the IFA in Berlin. Thousands
of Plasma models. You see the Picture Master and you'll forget them
    all!!

    Cheers

I personally doubt the advantages of Picture master.

But to be fair, I haven't seen the others.

All I know is, I have ALL processing turned off on my 7200.

Any Auto setting is a backwards move, IMO.

If you're looking to buy, you really must view for yourself.

    It's the only way.

The colours of the 7200 are pukka though :smashin:

The quality on the 7200 is by far one of the best on the market ;)

So if the money isn't an issue you should go for the 7200 ? What makes the image better then the 6600? I am going to wallmount the screen therefor the motorised swivel isn't interesting for me

Cheers badger. I actually had this book marked from a few weeks back :D .

Set mine up this evening and very happy with the results after a quick play. Will investigate the settings from the thread tomorrow probably. Today was torture though, I was on a training course in Wolverhampton and I live down near London. At about midday I received a text telling me the TV had arrived. That was the longest afternoon and drive home I've ever had!

Didn't get in untill about 8:30 and then had to get some take away for my mrs and my mum who had popped over. By the time my dad had arrived and we had got everything set up it was almost 10, at which point my mum announced that we were just in time for eastenders on BBC3. I am not at all proud to say that my new TV was christened with Eastenders but you mum would only sulk if I told her she couldn't watch it!
