Anyone know why Hitachi have stopped doing a 37" screen ? The 37PD5200 is a great screen but has no HDMI input. Also they have not updated thier Multi Media box with HDMI.

    Anyone know why ?

The 5200 you mention does have DVI, and that uses the same picture protocols as HDMI. The lack of a HDMI connector makes precious little difference and a HDMI to DVI connector can be obtained very easily. What would be more significant is the presence or lack of HDCP. Without it protected high definition content cannot be viewed regardless of connections.

I think the 5200 is HDCP, it's not that but it's inability to accept 720p/50hz which is the problem.
