    Thanks

You need to buy a wall bracket to hang it on the wall. The part reference is PWT001 and unbeatable sell it for £85.99.

Can't wait to get mine then :D

Ordering it in a week or two from JL, just need to find a decent place to price match from :)

Thanks for the reply... it's always hard to tell with the smaller plasmas as (wherever I go) they only ever feed the big screens a decent signal. The 42" looked really nice - it was playing Star Wars II - and I was hoping for good things from the smaller one :)

I am looking also for a price match for JL in Newcastle.

    Its available from Empire Direct for £2131 + £99 delivery = £2230
JL is £2499 and a local shop offered it for £2499 + Free Wall Bracket but only 1 year exp.

If you find anywhere let me know

    SJAllen,

I am a newcomer to this game, so apoligies for any stupid questions. Have you had a response from John Lewis about the price match on the Hitachi plasma?

How do you go about getting them to agree to a price match? Do you have to present them with actual evidence or will they investigate it themselves if you explain where you have seen it cheaper?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm equally new - this is my first non 14" portable telly. I haven't approached them yet, though I'm planning to email Cheadle (local JL to me) in the next week to start the ball rolling). In the past they used to pricematch without minding (this is all from what I've read). Nowadays you need an address of the shop you are matching, they must have the unit on display and it must be the same deal. It's quite tricky to get more than the odd £100 off - and in my case the price for the Hitachi is pretty good anyway (£2.5 for the 32 & £3k for the 42).

Your best bet is to find somewhere with a shop that sells for a lower price, and dispatch an email to your preferred JL branch to ask them about it. It can't hurt after all.

Hope I've been of some help, and I think my information is reasonbly accurate.

    Steev
