I've got a mate who is selling a Hitachi 32PD3000 Plasma Tele, although the tuner box is damaged and I thought hey i'll be able to use it as a monitor for the PC without the tuner box.
Since getting it to look over i've noticed the tele has a DVI port (or proprietry hitachi port...?), so has the puter, I thought it'd be as simple as plugging it in and it'd work. I'm not having much success though.
All i've got is the Tele at the moment, would it sense the signal and switch to AV or whatever automatically. As I haven't got a remote as yet! (all that's displaying at the moment is cycling through colours onscreen, yellow, magenta, blue e.t.c)

Any advice, however stupid, would be great!

...And no it wasn't a 'mate in the pub', it's got a box!

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

You can't use the DVI input on the panel of the 3000, it will only accept the connection from the media box.
