Got my choice down to these two after looking at the forums.
I want to buy a tv that is HD compatible and can show sport's with little smearing or ghosting.
I'd be using sky+ as the main source for tv.
I have to say i'm leaning towards the hitachi, but i'd like to hear anyones expereinces with these tv's.

Since mine arrived on Saturday, I've been more than happy with it. Pictures are excellent from Telewest on BBC, Sky One, Sky Movies etc, good on other channels, but football from Sky Sports does look a bit ropey on long shots. However, I knew this might be the case, and I'm prepared to put up with it until HD broadcasts appear. It's not that bad, and it doesn't make it unwatchable.

I'm no expert, but I think most LCDs will also have this problem at the moment.

I take it that you mean the hitachi.
To be honest sky sports football coverage can be a bit ropey on my crt tv!!
Premiership + seems to be of a higher standard.

Yes, sorry, I've got the Hitachi.

I haven't seen the Sagem, so could not compare the two. I'd suggest you pop down to your local dealer on a Saturday to see if it looks OK to your eyes.
