I have an Hitachi C2114T-311 television. I know this is quite old but I can't afford a new one at the moment, so can anyone tell me if it will accept an NTSC signal from and American DVD player through an S-video cable, or an S-video to scart converter. I looked on the net and found a website which said it would accept 50hz and 60hz signals with no adjustment needed. Does this mean NTSC? I tried an NTSC VHS tape through scart but all I got was a fuzzy screen with horribly distorted sound. However, the video recorder is not NTSC compatible, so I thought it might be the video sending a distorted signal rather than the TV being unable to read it.

Sorry to be so longwinded. Happy New Year.
