The fraud investigation will leave no stone uncovered untill the slate has been wiped clean.
I don't understand this.If the company lost that much money,then surely someone somewhere must have made that much money.Yet the company states that they will not be taking action as the money is not recoverable.I was born and bred in North Wales,if someone has spent £23 million in that area it should be very obvious,unless they've cornered the Welsh fine art market and have a large cellar!
Or maybe they bought some very small expensive rocks.
or sent it on the laundry van?
Clearly whatever auditors Alfred McAlpine use (both internal and external) are either rubbish or were in collusion with the managers at the quarry. Don't forget they are talking about a good length of time, but even so as you say someone somewhere must have made a hell of a lot of money.
