I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on which TV to buy out of these two:

Hisense H65N5750
Hisense H65N6800

I've found the following comparison.

Comparison between: 64.5" Hisense H65N6800, 64.5" Hisense H65N5750, 64.5" Hisense H65M5500, 64.5" Hisense H65MEC5550

The 6800 is only slightly more expensive so price doesn't matter. The main difference I can see if that the 6800 is side-lit rather than the 5750 which is back-lit. The 6800 also has something called "local dimming".

Which is better? I've seen some people moan about dim edges on the 6800 online.

I've got a 6800 arriving in 2 days time, not sure whether to cancel and get the 5750.

DisplaySpecifications is frequently wrong. For example they list the N6800 brightness at 350cd/m² while the Hisense website lists it as 450cd/m² and the AVF review tested it at 430cd/m².

The N6800 is the next model up, and includes hardware for HDR such as (basic) local dimming and a wide colour gamut backlight. I'm not aware of any way the N5750 is better, although I haven't looked into it deeply. If price doesn't matter I'd stick with the N6800.

All LCDs are backlit with the light behind the screen. Edge-lit vs. Direct -lit are a difference in how the LEDs are placed within the backlight unit. The light always comes out of the front of the backlight unit and directly through the screen.

Hisense are a budget brand, so a higher percentage of QA issues like slightly different brightness across the screen are to be expected. If it disrupts normal viewing you'll just have to send it back.

Having just purchased the H65N6800 I am extremely impressed with the Looks, Build quality and overall performance. It is a definite improvement over my H55M7000 which I use in my Bedroom. Both Netflix and YouTube are available in HDR. With a screen size of 65", ULED and HDR For £849 from John Lewis complete with a 5 year warranty I consider this TV to be an absolute bargain. I did consider Samsung, Lg and Sony but would have had to pay far more than the Hisense. I am very happy with my purchase.

Just in-case anyone else stumbles across this post, I went with the H65N6800 and couldn't be happier with it. There is a slight shadow round the edge but you never notice it. Very good price for a larger display.
