So I've posted some settings over on the M7000 thread but they seem to get lost in the quagmire of firmware and update posts - so I've had a play with my TV today and reset it from scratch and re-calibrated it. I've done a full calibration on this which took me a few hours and as such will be the final settings that I post. They are (without trying to make myself sound too big headed) the best settings I've used. I have done a day, night and HDR setting. Please feel free to use them. Adapt them if you must but I mean it when I say this is it so there will be no game settings I'm afraid.

THESE SETTINGS WERE MEASURED ON A 55M7000 ON FIRMWARE 1230. THEY SHOULD WORK ON ALL FIRMWARE VERSIONS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY WORK FINE ON MINE BUT IM SORRY BUT I CAN'T GUARANTEE THEY WILL BE PERFECT ON YOUR SET BUT THEY WILL BE A STARTING POINT

Night (for day use THE SAME settings on STANDARD mode)
Mode - Cinema (use standard for day settings though I just leave it on these all the time)

10 Point WB and the Colour Tuner are pretty much useless on HDR so I haven't touched them.
It's been suggested that using adaptive contrast on low for HDR brings some improvement. I agree though it was measured with it off- I've also removed the colour tuner settings as it doesn't work. It doesn't matter though as back in the day the Pioneer Kuro CMS was renowned for its poor quality and also no current Sony model - including the OLED even had a CMS so we should feel privileged we have one even though it's doesn't work :D
    Enjoy

Yes settings exactly the same except standard/cinema
I'd buy into the contrast low idea. Looks good. It's impossible to measure with these settings on as they upset the white balance buy it looks better as an after add on.

Very odd. Getting strange results - certainly with the colour tuning settings I get a strange pink highlight/fringing on skin eg faces. Have reset colour settings to 0 which seems to have sorted that and will live with the rest for a while. Thanks again!

no, please .... nobbler has created a new post to talk only about 55 ... if you start again to talk about 65 , we will not understand anything again...please ask this in the other topic

for those who have the problem of disappearing audio. Today I received an email from Hisense uk. They suggest me to flush the fw h1230 putting it back on usb and re-flash it without doing a reset sooner or later...
I have not tried yet but yesterday I lowered the audio from the service menu and the problem did not resurface

Looks like i got the flashing so have reset the colour tuner :(

Quick question what Panel Type are you guys using (service menu option), I used to use B2 but after these new calibrated settings B1 looks a bit better to me at least on the Olympics coverage on BBC. So just curious what everyone else use.

As always super grateful to Nobbler for these super settings!

Also getting the pinkish tinge is resetting the colour tuner just putting them all to zero

You have to go into the service menu to see and change this.

GO to audio settings then advanced, scroll down to balance then type 1969 you should know have a green M in the top left corner and if you press settings you have other options and one of them is panel type.

To exit the service menu you can press the HOME button on the remote and then exit and you should be back to normal, or you can turn it off and on from the remote.

I went back to B2 panel type B1 was to dull for my liking.

I know you think you are helping but please don’t post stuff like this here ppl don’t need to know about these settings and the hidden service menus for starters changing anything in the service menus will void your warranty also if ppl don’t know what they are doing they will more than likely brick there sets

Good advice - please lets not make this page 36577543 of the official thread. Can we just keep this thread for settings please?
In the meantime, I saw what could be described as slight pink blotches last night whilst watching The Grand Tour in HDR via my 4K player. Anyone else that has seen them was it in HDR or standard viewing? I think I have the solution if it's in HDR. Switch from Native to BT709 colour space. Native will only be used on 4K disc (and I watched BR2049 last night with no problems at all) so maybe that's it...
