Looking at getting some Hikvision kit soon, (NVR and around 8 cameras). Any one have any recommended websites/suppliers to source the kit from?

We trialed Hikvision as our camera of choice for our installs, along with many others but finally decided on GrandStream.

I bought mine from iCCTV and they were much cheaper than anyone else.

So much so, that i got the DS-7208HQHI for less than most people charge fr the HGHI version.

Not only were they cheap, their service (nost pre and post sales) had been excellent as they has replied to my multiple emails within a matter of minutes.

I should point out that i am not affiliated with them in anyway, but they deserve recognition for being so helpful.

    Thank you both.

@seb, I've pretty much settled on HikVision now, just wanted to do the final check with members if they've found any good suppliers for it all!

good choice on hikvision. i tested both a UK branded hikvision camera and a cheaper Chinese branded hikvision from ebay.

both were exactly the same, I heard of issues where the menus wont be english but can confirm they are english.

the model i bought was DS-2CD3132F-IW for under £60 (uk price is around £120) they are 3MP. only issue i have with them is IR bleed at night (UK model also suffered) but that is due to them being dome cameras.

I got mine from Netview home, really helpful and they also sell on Amazon which makes life easier if you have an Amazon account.
Highly recommend the 4MP Hikvision Turret Dome IP Cameras. Basic setup is done on the NVR and more advanced settings are done via Web.
