I have high signal strength (about 80%) and low signal quality (0% to 20%).

I have a Pace Digibox DS430N. Most channels appear to be OK, but sometimes notice that the screen freezes momentarily. 'National Geographic' channel is worst, sometimes it breaks up completely.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance .....

Or water penetration at the connection to LNB, maybe??

I beleive this can cause oxidisation within the cable (depending on the quality of the cable and the length of time it's been installed) and you get the symptoms you describe.

This occured to me a couple of years ago when an independant "cowboy" installer connected the dish up and used poor uality cable made a bad connection and tried to hide it beneath some black insulation tape which eventually peeled of and allowed water in.
