    Hi All,

I want to add DTS 6.1, DD5.1 EX, Dolby Surround II etc etc to an existing Hi-Fi System that I am very fond of. Is there a quality home cinema amp, processor, receiver out there that I can use for centre and rear channels as well as providing an output to my current high-end pre-amp for the main left and right channels? Will I still get proper DTS and DD5.1EX etc etc?

    Thanks for your assistance.

Take a look at the LINN range of system controllers, Kisto or Exotik should do the trick depending on how Hi end you wish to go.

What is the current pre-amp that you have? You say hi-end, but then dismiss the Linn gear as 'too' hi-end...

Is the quality of the surround sound you want on a par with your expectations for stereo listening?

My current pre-amp is an Audio Research SP9. The Linn's are too expensive at this moment in time. I'm thinking of going for a Denon AVR 3805. Any thoughts?
