Panasonic sell a whole range of High Definition TVs in the :us: USA - see Panasonic US Plasma Range, but the main criticism of the Viera range in the UK is that it lacks high definition compatibility. Any news on when Panasonic will launch HD TVs in the :uk: UK?

The resolution of the US Plasmas can be seen here. The TH-37PX25U/P 37in screen is 1024x720 which is a lot better than the TH37PE30 37in Viera at 852x480. :)

UK?...
This summer, try a search for PV500. The SD Viera range will have the suffix PA50 and the HD Viera range will be suffixed PV500.

Reading the US Panasonic or Japanese Panny websites makes for really depressing reading if you live in the UK/Europe. They've had the option to buy hi-def TV's for ages. We're still waiting for a launch.
