As this is my first post here, apologies if it is in the wrong forum.

I am considering buying a Philips 42PF9986 from HiFi Confidential in London.

Very good price, certainly, but does anyone have any experience of buying from this store - good or bad?

I bought my old hifi from them about 11 years ago. Good price, very helpful and friendly, prompt delivery. That was 11 years ago though!

I'm interested in your choice of TV. I was just checking this model out. The cheapest I could find (which I'd trust) was £4159.95 from DigitalDirect.

However, I'm still not too sure about the quality compared to plasma yet. I currently have a PDP433MXE which I'm looking to upgrade. I'm trying to find a store which has one.

One thing I surprised about is why they'd bother with an ordinary TV tuner. Then again perhaps the Philips does a better job than the Pioneer with this sort of source.
