Hiding my sky box

    Hi

    Can anyone help me, i'd like to hide away my sky box and still be able to control with my remote! I am connected to TV via scart rgb and my question is can i use a skylink ir detector that is connected to rf 2 of my box in some way? I still want to use scart rgb though!?!?

    Yes you can use the skylink.

    Plug it into the rf2 connection on the back of the digibox
    enable the 9 volt power supply to rf2 using the hidden menus
    put the eye part somewhere it can recieve you remote control commands.

    Just to clarify, i have my scart rgb from skt tp tv, i have rf2 out to skylink! Do i leave the other end of the rf lead from the skylink disconnected or plug it in my telly? If so do is till get rgb or will it be rf?

    You shouldn't need to plug the RF lead into the TV as you will not be using the output from it.

    A word of warning about using the Skylink to take the Sky Digibox out of standby!!! When I used to run a Skylink to my second TV, on the odd occassion that I turned it on via the Skylink, the Digibox wasn't in RGB mode (I don't know if this is fixed with the software update but I wouldn't think it was).

    Pressing the TV button on the sky remote disables the RGB output. Did you press the TV button when using the 2nd TV? You turn the RGB back on by pressing the Sky button.
