Hi-speed Dubbing from Sky+ to Panasonic E85?

    Hi i'm new on these forums and would appreciate some help.

    I have today bought a Panasonic E85 and am considering getting Sky+ in the next month or so.

    Having searched the threads here I wasn't able to establish whether Hi-speed dubbing is available from Sky+ to the E85. It seems to me that if it is available then great, thanks i'll be happy with that but, if it isn't, why? I am concerned that if 1:1 dubbing is all thats available it would seem archaic.

    That's all you get from Sky+. Even if you take the hard disk out you can't use the files without the card.

    Its not to bad using 1:1 since you can do it overnight and transfer several recordings in one go using the copy function. Obviously you do have re-encoding.

    Seems a shame that fast dubbing isnt available but that's life I guess.
