Considering the xbox outputs 640x480 etc through the hi defintion pack , do you think its possible to connect the three component cables coming out of the hidef pack using bnc adapters to the back of my samsung 900nf monitor which has bnc input connections at the back.

I havent got my hidef pack yet so thats why im asking

Depends what your monitor can take on the input, doubt it will take compoent.
It may take RGBs so you could adapt a scart to give you RGBs on 4 bnc's, but then it won't give you progressive etc. and the monitor probably won't accept a 15Khz signal.
If you need to use VGA you need to chip your xbox as you can then set the out put correctly.
have a read up on www.xbox-scene.com
