My entry this month. Found this subject a bit hard as I had a few ideas but no real time to do anything complex/tehnical, which most of my ideas were.

So, the most taxing part was deciding on a title, alternatives were -

Speedo test new organic swimming goggles
Nevermind 15 years on (for those into Grunge !)
    The waterbaby
    Aliens land on earth

    So here it is -

Taken with a Vivtar 8400 £60 pick-up-and-click waterproof camera with no controls, Exif has settings on Flikr, but a bit irrelevant with this camera. Loads of editing in Gimp to get the colours more natural from the muddy picture from the camera.

Great idea - I think the processing lets it down a bit though :)

Jim - cheers for the comment, if I get round to it I'll post the original in the "not valid" thread so you can see what I had to work with. To say the camera is average would be doing average a disservice ! I think a waterproof bag for my DSLR/old bridge camera will be going on the Chrimbo list.

Original posted in the "not valid " thread.

Also noticed that the exif says Jan 2008 as the date, just to re-assure you that this was taken last week on holiday but as I take the batteries out of the camera when not using it (2xAA to stop them leaking!) the clock re-sets. Mods let me know if you this is not OK.

If you can prove it was taken this month it can stay else I'm afraid it isn't valid due to the exif being wrong!

Zone - only thing that will date the picture (if you look closely) is the cut on my sons nose that can be correlated with an insurance claim from last week for 200Euro for two steristrips and 1/4 hour of a doctors time in Jandia (nice work if you can get it !).

If that is not acceptable then I'm happy to chalk this up to experience.

No problems, I'll leave it up to you whether to include it.

    It's not acceptable then unfortunately!

The exif is the only way we have to simply confirm a pictures origin and legitimacy!

    Sorry!
