    Hi All,
At the weekend I lost the picture on my Sky from heavy rain. I went to look at the box and found that the arms holding the LMB had corroded and the LMB had dropped causing the picture to drop out on a lot of chanels and just look rubbish on a couple more. Any way I put it back together and tried to re align it (without moving the actual dish) but to no avail. Today I had an independant sky guy come and have a look and he told me I had blown my box up by wiggling the LMB. Is this possible? I would hav though as the LMB was recieve only this would be unlikely. Anyway, I have been billed for a new box when all I though I needed was some new arms on the dish :( Thanks for your time. Dave...

If you had a loose cable connection to the lnb (NOT LMB) then it is possible that by moving the lnb around you have caused a short circuit in the cable and blown the digibox. Before touching any cabling on a digibox remove the plug from the mains and you will avoid this in future. Whilst a Sky digibox is plugged into the mains there is a permanent supply to the lnb to power it of 13 or 18Volts .
