I need to recover a folder I put in the trash, I put it in and was deleting it when I realised what it was. so clicked the x cancel bit and only got a part of the folder left. I dragged it back to my desktop.

How do I recover the full contents?

I'm running the explore a drive feature on FileSalvage as I type this. Will that do it? I sincerly hope so..............

I'm on a macbook running 10.4.11 if thats any use.

Im gonna leave that filesalvage to scan in that mode overnight as it's taking a long time

Not familiar with FileSalvage, but Nortons used to have a file recovery feature which worked well. I'm sure other disc maintenance apps will have the same. If you're on Leopard you can just step back using Time Machine.

Cool, is there anyway to get that free?

I'm on 10.4 still :( time machine in 10.5 is well worth the money I reckon now.

Anything can be had free if you know how ;)

Limewire, iSerialReader, [cracked] eSellerate Engine and Little Snitch are a good start.

I think Disc Warrior may be the better current salvage app.

I managed to get a copy of Diskwarrior4 with a serial and it seems to work ok.

What do I need to do in this program to get back my files?
