I have been reading the thread on the toshiba 42wlt66 and i am not sure if i should buy this set??

Basically i am looking for a 42 inch set around the £1,500 mark to play my ps3 on in decenber.

Could you guys point in the right direction on which set to buy? is the hitachi 42 inch lcd any good or the jvc 42inch? or should i buy the toshiba 42wlt66.

Also has sony got anything out there thats better?

Please help as i will be nuying my set next week!!!

Calm down !

Not that its much use to you but have you considered plasma for that kind of money? (I speak as a plasma and lcd owner) My plasma has a far superior pq than both lcd's.

i will be playing the ps3 , xbox 360 and the wii on the set so i realy need an lcd for the burning issues, basically i am turning my dining room into a console game room

dont quote me on this but i heard that to play the ps3 on hdtv's you will need a 1080p input thing. two different hdmi ports mayby, i have no idea. 1080p is also higher resolution aswell. look into it some more.
and as i said im not sure if any of that is true, just things i read somewhere

can you give me a link to that sony set you have mentioned that runs at 1080p?
