Can anyone help me by explaining the cause of, or better still the solution to the following problem.
I have my Panasonic (black) digibox 'TV Scart' connected to the AV4 input in my Panasonic TV and the Digibox 'Video Scart' connected to Line 1 input on my video then on to AV2 of the TV (using a Scart to 2 Scart cable).
The problem is that the Digibox seems to stop putting any signal out of the TV Scart when the Video either plays or records. Even after watching a tape, or recording, my AV4 remains dead. Switching the VCR off then on again restarts the signal to AV4 (I've found that unplugging the video scart from the rear of the digibox then plugging it back in also restarts my AV4 signal).
    Can anyone help ???
    Cheers,

Try the following as you are over complicating it.

Sky > TV (into the RGB scart)
    Sky > VCR (scart)

That is all you need. You don't need a vcr to tv connection.

Only AV1 on my TV is RGB compatible and I have my DVD connected there.
If I don't connect my VCR to my TV how can I watch video's ?

    DVD (AV1) > (TV AV1).......RGB
    SKY (AV1) > DVD (AV2).....RGB LOOP
    SKY (AV2) > VIDEO (AV2)
    VIDEO (AV1) > TV (AV2)

Thanks for the replies so far but I can't connect up as you suggest Bob007.
My DVD is a Sony DAVS300 home cinema so it is only connected to the TV by a single video cable and a scart adapter. There are no actual scarts on the rear of the DVD player.

Why have you got your dvd player connected to the RGB socket? The Sony DAV range doesn't output RGB.
It will only do s-video at best.

The VCR uses the digibox to pass the signal through so no additional connection is required to the tv.

    Try:

Digibox > TV (into RGB scart)
    Digibox > VCR (scart)
DAV > TV (using s-video round pin or s-video > scart lead into s-video scart socket)
tv > DAV (2x phono connection)

This should be all you need to get the video signals from all sources and the audio from all sources back to the DAV)
